How to write down sign languages?
A comparison of scripts
In this talk I will present about five scripts, HamNoSys, SignWriting, SignFont, der Stokoe-Notation and a self-developed notation system. These systems make it possible to write down Sign Languages. I will first give a brief insight into the research on Sign Languages and then elaborate on pros and cons of each of the scripts as well as their usage.
