I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (5th semester). My academic interests include understudied or/and underdescribed language families of Africa, in particular Berber, Omotic, Cushitic languages within the Afroasiatic phylum. I am also interested in areal linguistics (e.g. Ethiopia), sociolinguistic typology, as well as theoretical frameworks such as e.g. Role and Reference Grammar (RRG). At this conference, I will be presenting one of the aspects of my BA thesis, specifically, my analysis of actor markers in Taqbaylit as pronominal anaphors from an RRG perspective.
