ARAY: Create your own speaking clock
Introduction to concatenative speech synthesis
In this workshop we will briefly introduce speech synthesis, also known as text-to-speech (TTS), and focus on one particular type: concatenative speech synthesis. Then we will turn to code and show you an example: ARAY — world's first demotivational, bitchy, code-switching, voice-transforming, wannabe clock.
Then you will get the chance to create your own speaking clock. We will make use of Google Colab so access to a Google account is necessary.
