Speaker: Maria Mazzoli

Maria Mazzoli is Assistant Professor of Sociolinguistics, Diversity and Minorities at the University of Groningen. Her research areas of specialization are contact linguistics, postcolonial linguistics and Algonquian morphology. As a Marie Curie fellow she conducted a project on Michif, a mixed language Plains Cree/French, and one of the languages of the Metis Nation. As a Research Affiliate at the University of Manitoba in 2017 she conducted fieldwork in different locations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan (Canada) and North Dakota (USA).
