Speaker: Poppy Plumb

Poppy is an MA student of Discourse Studies at Lancaster University, UK. She is interested in critical discourse analysis, corpus linguistics and health communication.

Poppy is an MA student of Discourse Studies at Lancaster University, where she also received a first class BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature. She is interested in critical discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, health communication, and language around mental illnesses.

For her undergraduate dissertation, Poppy conducted a corpus-based Critical Discourse Analysis of written OCD narratives, which she presented at the annual ULAB conference in 2019. Her research recieved a first and has been published in full in the conference proceedings, which you can find below.
