Speaker: Viviana Lewinsky
I am Viviana Lewinsky, graduate in Educational Science by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in Argentina. Currently I am doing a Phd in Education in UBA, with a scholarship granted by this university. My working place is the Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Educación (IICE. Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, UBA). My research interests are in the field of applied linguistic
and preschool education. I am investigating the ways young children (4-5 years old), from different social groups, create fictional worlds and the linguistic resources that they use to create these worlds. In my studies I analyse spontaneous situations at home, where children play individually or with other children or adults, and elicited situations at school, where children create fictional narratives while playing with toys and other children.
