Speaker: Victoria Krumpholz

I'm currently doing my BA in English and Gender Studies at Humboldt University Berlin - from fall 2024, I am planning to do my MA in Linguistics at FU (Free University) Berlin. Combining my interest in gender biases and their influence on society and our lives with linguistics, my main focus lies on how gender biases manifest in language and how they might influence speech patterns.

In linguistics, I am especially interested in sociolinguistics and multilingualism as well as foreign language acquisition. I am also currently working as a student assistant (SHK) at the Leibniz-Zentrum Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft (ZAS) as part of the Leibniz Dream project. Finally, I also enjoy learning foreign languages myself - right now, I speak German, English and Korean. Hoping to brush up on my Spanish during my MA program.
